I am now beginning to work on my Girl Scout Gold Award. This is the highest award that I can earn and is recieved by completing a large-scale service project.
For
my Gold Award, I will be creating a video highlighting the basic beliefs of the
Catholic Church and the most misinterpreted beliefs. I have noticed that many
people dislike the Catholic faith because they do not fully understand the
religion. This video will help anyone who is misinformed about the Catholic
Church. I want to decrease the amount of animosity towards and
misinterpretation of the Catholic Church.
My first step is to figure out which beliefs are the most misunderstood. To do that, I will be interviewing both non-Catholics about their basic knowledge of the Catholic Faith, and
Catholics about which beliefs they believe are misinterpreted by others.
